Frequently Asked Questions

Q) What Is the difference between pre-finished and site finished floors?

A) Very little, a benefit of a pre-finished floor is the saving of time. Pre-finished floors are installed and the homeowner is usually walking on them that same evening. However the installation of a site finished floor gives the customer more options of style, species of material and type of finish. Both types offer the same durability therefore personal choice is the most relevant factor.

Q) Is sanded and site finished floor completely sealed so liquid cannot penetrate to joints? What about pre-finished?

A) Neither is. Sanded and site finished flooring expands and contracts, breaking any bond each piece would have made during finishing.
